About

I am an Associate Research Scientist at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory and Princeton University, where I specialize in theoretical and computational condensed matter physics, in the research group of Prof. Emily Carter and Dr. Mark Martirez. I work on aspects of density functional theory and electronic structure and am broadly interested in quantum condensed matter theory.

Earlier, I was a CNLS Postdoctoral Fellow jointly in the Theoretical Division (T-1) and the Center for Nonlinear Studies at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

I earned my Ph.D. in Theoretical and Computational Condensed Matter Physics in June 2021 as a member of the Computational and Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics Group in the Department of Physics and the Institute of Advanced Computational Science (IACS) at Stony Brook University, advised by Marivi Fernandez-Serra.

I am originally from Lucknow, India, and obtained my undergraduate degree (B.Sc. (Honors)) in Physics from St. Stephen’s College in Delhi, before joining Stony Brook University as a Physics Ph.D. student. As an undergraduate, I was a summer intern in the Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics group at Harish Chandra Research Institute, Allahabad, where I was advised by Pinaki Majumdar.
